Extending morning session downward trading, the European common currency declined further against the US dollar and the Swiss franc in New York afternoon deals on Wednesday. At around 2:50 pm ET, the euro dropped to 1.4715 against the franc and 1.3892 versus the greenback, which may be compared to Tuesday's closing values of 1.4732 and 1.3965, respectively.
