The Canadian trade balance and the new housing price index reports-both for January are expected at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Ahead of the release of the reports, the loonie weakened versus majors.
At 8:20 am ET, the loonie was worth 88.31 against the yen, 0.9407 against the aussie, 1.0273 against the U.S. dollar and 1.4030 against the euro.
