FirstEnergy Appoints James Lash As President And Chief Nuclear Officer Of FENOC

FirstEnergy Corp. (FE) said it has appointed James Lash, senior vice president of Operations, FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company, as president and chief nuclear officer of FENOC.

Lash succeeds Joseph Hagan, who has elected to retire on May 1, after a 40-year career in the nuclear industry.

As part of the executive changes, Peter Sena III, vice president of Operations, will replace Lash as senior vice president of Operations.

In his new position, Lash will have overall management responsibility for nuclear fleet operations at the corporate headquarters and the safe, reliable operation of FENOC's three nuclear power plants: the Beaver Valley Power Station, Shippingport, Pa.; Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Oak Harbor, Ohio; and the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Perry, Ohio.
