NZ Dollar Rises Sharply Against Majors

The New Zealand dollar staged a sharp gain against major currencies at about 3:10 am ET Monday. At 3:15 am ET, the kiwi climbed to a 12-day high of 0.7505 against the US dollar and a 6-day high of 1.3384 versus the Australian dollar, which may be compared to last week's close of 0.7475 and 1.3437, respectively.

The NZ dollar also edged up against the euro and hit a high of 1.7519 by about 3:15 am ET from early low of 1.7608.
