Alicia Keys released the documentary Speechless on Monday. The short film, made by her producer husband Swizz Beatz, follows Keys as she records her first song since the birth of their son Egypt on October 14.
It features Keys explaining her feelings about her son and how his birth has impacted her career.
"I haven't put any songs out since my son was born. To be able to write this song about him and how he makes me speechless, the poet in me is gone away 'cause I don't even know what to say when I look at him," says the Grammy-winning singer in the documentary.
She adds, "To just put something out that shows what you feel and what you're going through - at the moment you're going through it - and let the world hear it, let people vibe with you on it . . . That's like music."
The song "Speechless" features a collaboration with Philadelphia rapper Eve, who has previously worked with Keys on the track "Gangsta Lovin."
