China says its relations with Russia have been "lifted to a higher level," and hopes to boost bilateral cooperation in addressing international problems.

This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on the sidelines of the annual session of the National People's Congress, the country's top legislature.

Relations between the two neighboring countries achieved a lot of good results last year, and their leaders reached consensus on further deepening China-Russia strategic partnership of coordination, he told reporters on Monday.

2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation, and the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia strategic partnership of coordination.

"Russia and China need to strengthen interaction on the international arena and as part of different international organizations, and boost coordination in resolving international problems," Yang said.

He said Chinese President Hu Jintao would visit Russia this year at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.

He said the two countries would work together to step up their cooperation on economy and trade, high technology, in regional and international organizations, and enhance collaboration and coordination in addressing regional hot-spot issues.
