Wockhardt Gets US FDA Approval For Midazolam Injection, Launches It In US Market

Wockhardt said that the company received approval from the United States Food & Drug Administration for marketing the preservative-free version injections containing 1mg/ml and 5 mg /ml Midazolam in US market and launched it. Earlier, the company received the US FDA approval for the injection containing preservatives.

Midazolam is the generic name for the brand Versed. It is used in treatment of acute insomnia and anxiety and has a total market of $56 million as per IMS data.
