Jaiprakash Hydro Power announced that the net profit for the year ended March 31, 2009 declined to Rs.142.85 crore from Rs.213.40 crore in the year ago. Total income from operations decreased to Rs.317.91 crore from Rs.342.50 crore in the last year.
The company reported loss of Rs.25.52 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009 compared to net profit of Rs.28.86 crore in the year ago quarter. Total income from operation dropped to Rs.60.81 crore from Rs.64.91 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company recommended final dividend of 7.5% or Re.0.75 per share for the year ended March 31, 2009.
