Cummins India announced that the consolidated net profit after tax for the year ended March 31, 2009 rose to Rs.445.26 crore from Rs.324.90 crore in the previous year. Total income increased to Rs.3650.49 crore from Rs.2786.99 crore in the year ago.
On a standalone basis, the company reported net profit after tax of Rs.433.66 crore from Rs.280.69 crore in the prior year. Total income increased to Rs.3424.80 crore from Rs.2453.49 crore in the last year.
The company's net profit after tax for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 grew to Rs.118.18 crore from Rs.75.60 crore in the year ago quarter. Total income increased to Rs.1072.16 crore from Rs.716.39 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company recommended final dividend of 130% or Rs.2.60 per share for the year ended March 31, 2009.
