Denmark's manufacturing activity expanded at slower pace in March, data from a survey by the purchasing and logistics lobby DILF and Kairos Commodities showed Monday.

The seasonally adjusted purchasing mangers' index(PMI) fell to 52.2 in March from 54.8 in February. A PMI reading above 50 indicated expansion in the sector, while a reading below 50 suggests contraction.

New orders received by the Danish manufacturers increased in March and the relevant index climbed sharply to 58.8 from 53.2 in February. Meanwhile, production declined and the corresponding measure fell to 61.3 from 67.5.
