Sylvester Stallone's 'Rocky' Musical Headed To Broadway

Sylvester Stallone's musical interpretation of "Rocky" is reportedly headed to Broadway. The Broadway interpretation was created by Stallone with help from boxers Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko and already opened in Germany.

Now the show is set to open at Manhattan's Winter Garden Theater next February and will once again tell the story of Rocky Balboa's rise from a petty debt collector to the top of professional boxing. Tony Award winning lyricist Lynn Ahern will provide the book.

"Rocky the Musical" comes at moment of resurgence for boxing on Broadway. Mike Tyson's one man show about his life as a boxer with also open this year in addition to a revival of the classic "Golden Boy."
