Foo Fighters have released "Congregation," the third single from their upcoming album, Sonic Highways. The full cut was featured on this week's episode of the band's HBO doc of the same name.
According to Spin, the latest cut is signature Foos. "Flooding your ears with a mess of hard-rock riffs, the track is a crash-bang-boom cacophony of Dave's trademark screechy, scratchy vocals, arena-friendly guitar melodies, and Taylor Hawkins' heavy-handed percussion."
"Congregation" follows the previously released singles "Something From Nothing" and "The Feast And The Famine."
This week's episode of Sonic Highways sees the band recording in Nashville, and features interviews with Music City luminaries like Dolly Parton, Zac Brown and Carrie Underwood.
Sonic Highways is due November 10. It features eight songs recorded in eight different cities. Among the guests on the record are Eagles' Joe Walsh, Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard and Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen.
