Jay Z has purchased Armand de Brignac champagne brand, also known as Ace of Spades, which is sold in gold bottles for $300 a pop. Sovereign Brands, the former owner, announced the sale this week, although it did not disclose the price.
Armand de Brignac is reportedly worth between $25 and $30 million.
"We are proud to announce that Sovereign Brands, a New York-based wine and spirits company owned by the Berish family, has sold its interest in the Armand de Brignac Champagne brand to a new company led by the globally-renowned Shawn 'Jay Z' Carter," Sovereign wrote in a statement.
Jigga switched to Armand de Brignac after the head of the Cristal brand, Frederic Rouzaud, made derogatory comments about its consumption by rap artists.
"I view his comments as racist and will no longer support any of his products through any of my various brands including the 40/40 Club nor in my personal life," said Jay during the scandal.
