U2 will perform at this year's MTV EMAs, joining the growing list of performers, according to event organizers.
The band join previously announced performers Enrique Iglesias, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris and Nicki Minaj. This will be U2's fourth performance at the awards show, and first since 2009. In the past the band has appeared in Rotterdam in 1997, Stockholm in 2000 and Berlin in 2009.
Rock icon Ozzy Osbourne will be honored with the Global Icon Award.
Minaj is set to host the 2014 MTV EMAs (also known as the MTV Europe Music Awards), which will be held at The SSE Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland, on Sunday, November 9. This will be the first time since 2003 when the awards were held in Scotland.
