Thom Yorke performed two never before heard songs during his solo set at the recent Pathway to Paris concert. The gig, which came in conjunction with the city's UN Climate Change Conference, saw the Radiohead fronter debut two songs: "Silent Spring" and "Desert Island Disk."
Now, some are speculating that the tracks could feature on a new Radiohead album. In fact, on "Silent Spring," Yorke says, referring to a guitar part that "this is Jonny's bit, which I can't play," in reference to Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood.
In October Greenwood said that the band had recorded "lots" and "we're about to go through it all . . . . to see if it's any good. And we HOPE to tour next year: no plans confirmed yet."
Radiohead's last album, The King of Limbs, was released in 2011. So far, the band has announced no release date for their upcoming LP.
