Former American Idol champs Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson will return to the stage that launched their careers for the final episode of the show's 15 season run. The three night grand finale goes down April 5, 6 and 7, with Underwood and Clarkson performing on the last night.
The excitement begins on Tuesday, April 5 with a 90 minute retrospective documentary, featuring Ryan Seacrest, former and current judges, and former Idol contestants.
Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul will share intimate, never-before-told stories during the doc.
The following night, the current Idol finalists battle for the series' final trophy.
In addition to Clarkson and Underwood, Jordin Sparks, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Taylor Hicks and David Cook will also perform on the final night.
