Google Trends shows that the interest over time for "Bitcoin" has dropped to 10 in June this year from 100 in December 2017. The latest number is lesser than the interest shown during the corresponding period last year.
Fom the start of this year, the search for the term "Bitcoin" has dropped 75 percent.
Interestingly, the value of Bitcoin has more than halved from the beginning of the year, trading now at $7626 on Coinbase.

Crypto Exchange Huobi launches China-South Korea Blockchain Fund and crypto ETF
Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Huobi has entered into a partnership to launch a China-South Korea investment fund worth $93 million for blockchain companies. Further, Huobi introduced a crypto-based exchange traded fund or ETF, called HB10. It will track the exchange's 10 top-traded digital assets.
Crypto assets may reduce demand for central bank money: IMF
A new report by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) says crypto assets may one day reduce demand for central bank money as they will eventually be more widely adopted and fulfill more functions of money in some regions or private e-commerce networks. This is the second time in a year that the global financial watchdog is warning central bankers not to underrate the potential of crypto assets in the monetary system. The study notes that the global financial crisis and bank bailouts have "renewed skepticism in some quarters" of the world and there's a possibility that digital assets can affect the traditional global monetary policies.
Binance invests in blockchain-based esports voting platform
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has invested in Malta-based esports voting platform ChiliZ, which is powered by blockchain technology. The amount and terms of investment are not undisclosed. The investment is part of Binance's plan announced last week to establish a cryptocurrency-based $1 billion fund by using its BNB tokens to back blockchain projects and crypto startups. This is probably its first investment after the announcement. ChiliZ is a platform that allows both esports and sports entities to tokenize their voting rights to their fan bases to crowd-manage sports and esports organizations.
Seoul Hospital Accepts Cryptocurrency Payments
Seoul-based KMP Health Care announced that the hospital customers can make payments in cryptocurrencies for medical services. The hospital said it has built a system utilizing the latest blockchain technology to take Life Care Global Coins or LCGCs issued by GCM, instead of cash, as it aims to provide medical services to patients of various classes and overseas.
Multi-million cryptocurrency scam in India busted
The Police in the Indian city of Thane, near Mumbai, have busted a multi-million cryptocurrency scam this week. The promoters of Money Trade Coin Ltd, which was floated last year, launched their own cyrptocurrency called the "Money Trade Coin (MTC)" and promised high returns, real estate, and foreign passports to investors. Around 5000 million rupees ($74 million) was raised through various schemes, but the company did not pay the promised sum to the investors
