The strong surge in Bitcoin and its peers lost some steam Wednesday morning, after the top cryptocurrency met resistance as it approached $8,500 late Tuesday. Bitcoin continues to remain above $8,000.
Overall cryptocurrency market capitalization eased to $298 billion around 10 am ET Wednesday on CoinMarketCap, after crossing $300 billion a day earlier, which was the first time since April.

Bitwise Files With SEC For Crypto Index ETF
Crypto asset manager Bitwise has filed with the Securities Exchange Commission for a publicly offered cryptocurrency index exchange-traded fund or ETF. Singapore Airlines Unveils Blockchain-based Loyalty Wallet KrisPay
Singapore Airlines or SIA has launched a blockchain technology-based airline loyalty digital wallet, claimed to be the world's first of its kind. SIA's KrisFlyer frequent-flyer program unveiled miles-based wallet KrisPay. It converts frequent KrisFlyer miles into digitized KrisPay miles instantly that can be used to pay for retail purchases at partner merchants through a mobile app. Read more...
Google Develops Blockchain-based Cloud Service
Google will now allow its cloud customers to explore ways to use Blockchain's distributed ledger technology (DLT) frameworks on Google Cloud Platform (GPC) by using Digital Asset and BlockApps. Digital Asset is a New York-based startup which makes tools to build blockchain-based apps and BlockApps is another startup which helps people make decentralized apps. Read more...
Gibraltar Opens Trading At GBX Digital Asset Exchange To Public
British Overseas Territory Gibraltar has opened up the Gibraltar Blockchain Exchange (GBX) to the public after a soft launch on June 4 that saw 300 participants gain early access to the exchange. The GBX Digital Asset Exchange platform is now live with 6 cryptocurrencies - Bitcoin, Ethereum, Rock Token, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum Classic - available for trading on the exchange. PwC To Conduct Tezos' External Audit
For the first time, a large scale blockchain organization has hired a Big Four financial firm to conduct its external audit.
