Monday, Emerald Energy plc (EEN.L) said its half-year pre-tax profit declined to $16.80 million from $18.96 million in the previous year. Profit and total comprehensive income for the period descended to $8.54 million from $12.44 million in the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the half year were down to $0.13 from $0.20 in the comparable period.
However, half-year revenue from oil sales rose to $42.03 million from $29.59 million in the year-ago period.
