Stamford, Connecticut-based World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) announced that Linda McMahon has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer after announcing her candidacy for the United States Senate, representing the state of Connecticut.
The company noted that Vince McMahon assumes the duties of Chief Executive Officer in addition to his current position as its Chairman.
WWE added that McMahon will be supported by the seasoned executive management team already in place and led by Chief Operating Officer and board member, Donna Goldsmith.
