Canon Inc. (CAJ) reported third-quarter net income attributable to Canon of 36.7 billion yen, compared to 83.04 billion yen in the year-ago quarter. Net income attributable to Canon stockholders per share was 29.76 yen, lower than 65.91 yen last year.
Operating profit was 60 billion yen for the quarter, down from 129.27 billion yen in the same period a year ago.
Quarterly revenue dropped to 774.3 billion yen from 985.99 billion yen in the prior year period.
Looking ahead, Canon still expects full-year net profit of 110 billion yen and revenue of 3.20 trillion yen.
