Ahold (AHONY.PK) said its third-quarter net income grew 22.1% to EUR 238 million from EUR 195 million a year earlier. Income from continuing operations amounted to EUR 239 million compared with EUR 187 million in the previous year.
Net sales for the third quarter of 2009 increased to EUR 6.04 billion from EUR 5.79 billion in the prior year period.
