Central Garden & Pet Company Turns To Q4 Profit - Quick Facts

Central Garden & Pet Company (CENT, CENTA) reported for the fourth quarter net income of $8.0 million or $0.12 per share, compared to a net loss of $13.91 million or $0.20 per share in the year ago period.

Excluding goodwill impairment and other asset impairment charges, the company's net income for the quarter was $4.0 million or $0.06 per share.

On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.12 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Quarterly revenues dipped 12% to $363.17 million from $413.98 million in the comparable period last year. Analysts expected revenues of $403.74million.
