Bob Seger will release a collection of rare and previously unreleased recordings to fans in the Midwest next week.
The new album, titled Early Seger Vol. 1, will be available exclusively through Meijer stores starting on November 24. It will also be available on Seger's official website.
The album will include 10 tracks that date back to the early 1970s. Previously unreleased material includes a remastered cover of the Allman Brothers' classic, "Midnight Rider," and a rerecording of "Long Song Comin," from Seger's 1974 album, Seven.
Seger also finished unreleased tracks - including "Gets Ya Pumpin'," "Star Tonight," "Wildfire" and "Days When the Rain Would Come" - for the album. The studio sessions were held in September and October between Yessian Studios in Farmington Hills, Mich. and Kid Rock's Allen Roadhouse recording studio in Clarkston, Mich.
