Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy updated fans on the status of his new solo album via his MySpace blog this week.
While his band members Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips have all stayed busy participating in the Creed reunion tour, Kennedy has been spending long hours in the studio.
"I have been locked away working on my record," Kennedy said on MySpace. "There don't seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything done. It's been an amazing experience. I'm working with some great people. I'll go into more detail at a later date."
Kennedy has also been busy collaborating with legendary Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash on the guitarist's own solo album.
On his MySpace page, Kennedy also stated that Alter Bridge will start working on their new album soon.
"The day after I finish tracking my record, I will fly to Florida to finish AB 3," he said.
