Musiq Soulchild Preps New Album

Musiq Soulchild has confirmed that he is back at work on a new album. According to his label, Atlantic Records, Soulchild has teamed up with producer Jack Knight, the man behind hit tracks for such artists as Chris Brown, Ashanti, Diddy, and Usher.

The yet-to-be-titled release, Soulchild's sixth studio album, is set to hit stores in 2010.

"I'm extremely excited about the things that I'm coming up with for this next project," Soulchild said. "I'm sure everybody out there is going to enjoy it."

Soulchild has enjoyed widespread critical acclaim since his 2000 debut, Aijuswanaseing. The album went double platinum, selling more than 2 million copies in the U.S. alone. Since then, Soulchild has earned one other platinum record, two gold records and four Grammy nominations.
