AC/DC have filmed three sold out shows that took place at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on December 2, 4 and 6 for an upcoming DVD release.
The shows, part of the band's ongoing Black Ice tour, brought 65,000 fans to the stadium each night. For the DVD, AC/DC will also use footage that was filmed at the stadium on December 5, without an audience present.
The DVD is the latest in a line of recent AC/DC releases. The band issued a limited edition box set, Backtracks, in November. The set features three discs of studio rarities, a 164-page book, art lithographs, rare photos, a button, a guitar pick, and a reproduction of an early AC/DC concert flyer, among other items.
The deluxe version of the box set, which was limited to a run of 50,000 copies, comes in a fully operational AC/DC guitar amplifier.
Meanwhile, AC/DC were recently nominated for the 2010 Grammy Awards in the category of best rock album for their fifteenth studio album, Black Ice.
