Martina McBride has paid more than $1,000 for the controversial Peyton Manning jersey that Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher wore to a fundraiser.
Former Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy was the keynote speaker at the event, which took place following an 0-6 start by the Titans. When asked why he wore the jersey, Fisher jokingly said he wanted to feel like a winner.
Fisher donated the much talked about jersey to charity after the event, where it was auctioned off to McBride by the Christian-based youth center, Rockettown.
"We'd like to point out that the Titans are 5-0 since Coach Fisher wore that Colts jersey," said Rocketown director ReGina Newkirk.
It has been reported that McBride wrote the song "We Got Your Number" about the jersey.
