Beyoncé helped her husband Jay-Z celebrate his 40th birthday in high style over the weekend with a lavish A-list bash in the Dominican Republic.
Guests at the party, which took place at the Casa de Campo resort, included Kanye West, Amber Rose, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Kim Porter, Alex Rodriguez, Kate Hudson and Alicia Keys.
"Beyoncé arranged every detail of the party at Campo de Casa," an inside source said. "The dinner party Friday night was elegant and everyone was asked to wear 1920s or 1940s era frocks. Beyoncé asked Jay's friends to shoot a video that was played at dinner telling Jay how they felt about him. We're told Kevin Liles shot his mushy BFF speech weeks before the bash back in the states."
Hov and Keys reportedly dropped an impromptu performance of "Empire State of Mind" at the party, while Kanye is said to have delivered a toast.
The guests were treated to a surf and turf brunch the following afternoon.
