Volkswagen AG (VLKAF.PK) is interested in purchasing a stake in Suzuki Motor Corp. (SZKMF.PK) to gain access to Suzuki Motor's small-car technologies, media reports on Tuesday citing to people familiar with the situation.
Volkswagen and Suzuki Motor have been discussing a partnership since June, a person said. A 20% holding in Suzuki is being discussed and a deal could be announced as early as this week.
