American Water Works Co Inc. (AWK) announced that its subsidiary, American Water Enterprises, has acquired Environmental Management Corp. from The Linde Group. American Water does not believe the acquisition price is material to its business.
Don Correll, president and CEO, said, "This acquisition will bring a new element to American Water Enterprises' business with the addition of Environmental Management Corp.'s large base of industrial customers and it will contribute to the earnings growth goals of American Water."
Environmental Management Corp. will operate as a separate business unit of American Water Enterprises for the remainder of the year and into early next year.
