NovaDel Pharma Inc. (NVD) announced that it received an Issue Notification from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a new U.S. Patent, entitled "Buccal, Polar and Non-polar Spray Containing Zolpidem", which covers a method of treating insomnia by administering zolpidem to humans utilizing NovaDel's oral spray technology.
The company had previously announced that its Zolpimist 5 mg and 10 mg Oral Spray product is approved by the U.S. FDA for the short-term treatment of insomnia characterized by difficulties with sleep initiation.
