Godsmack lead singer Sully Erna has reached a $3.3 million lawsuit settlement stemming from a 2007 car crash in Massachusetts.
Lindsay Taylor, 27, and her parents sued Erna after a three-car accident left Taylor with a traumatic brain injury. A car she was traveling in was rear ended by Erna's Hummer.
Taylor claimed that Erna was not paying attention to the road at the time of the crash. She was riding in the backseat of a car driven by Eric Sargent at the time of the accident. Erna claims that the design of the road and the fact that Sargent's car had already rear ended another car put Sargent partially at fault.
The settlement calls for Erna to pay $3.3 million immediately, including $1.8 million in attorney fees.

May 15, 2026 15:25 ET Apart from the confirmation of Kevin Warsh as the next Fed chair, the main news on the economics front this week included key price data from the U.S. and the first quarter economic growth figures from major economies. Both consumer prices and producer costs have started to reflect the effect of supply shocks due to the Middle East conflict. In Europe, GDP data was in focus, while inflation data from China dominated the news flow in Asia.
