Christopher & Banks Corp. (CBK) posted third quarter net income from continuing operations of $7.0 million or $0.19 per share, compared to $7.0 million or $0.20 per share in the third quarter last year. Net income rose to $6.9 million or $0.19 per share from $3.9 million or $0.11 per share in the year-ago quarter.

On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.21 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales for the quarter were $132.0 million, compared to $143.0 million in last year period.
Third quarter fiscal 2010 same-store sales declined 8.4%.

Four Wall Street analysts expected revenues of $132.00 million for the quarter.

Looking forward, for the fourth quarter, the company expects comparable store sales to decline in the high single digits.
