Thursday, Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. (BONT) reported that comparable store sales for the month of December decreased 2.6%. Total sales for the month decreased 3.0% to $511.1 million from $527.2 million in the prior year period.
Year-to-date comparable store sales decreased 6.1%. Year-to-date total sales declined 6.0% to $2,779.7 million from $2,958.0 million in the same period last year.
