OGE Energy Corp. (OGE) said it now expects 2009 earnings to exceed the previously announced guidance of $2.30 to $2.60 per share.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report earnings of $2.49 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company continues to forecast an annual long-term earnings growth rate of 5% to 7% from 2009 through 2012.
