Procter & Gamble Co., (PG) announced that it has elected Deborah Platt Majoras, currently senior vice president and general counsel, as chief legal officer and secretary, effective February 1, 2010, to succeed Steven Jemison, who will retire effective September 30, 2010. Until his retirement, Jemison will serve as officer on special assignment, reporting to Bob McDonald, chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer.
