Franz Ferdinand and French actress Marion Cotillard have teamed up on a track that will be featured in a new commercial for Dior clothing.

Cotillard, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in 2007's La Vie En Rose, sings on the track, which was written by the band. Cotillard also appears in the ad, playing a woman who works by day and sings at night. A preview of the track is currently available at www.ladydior.com.

Franz Ferdinand are currently preparing for a busy spring. Not only will the Scotsmen contribute to an album of songs inspired by Tim Burton's upcoming adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, but they have also confirmed a performance at the Coachella Music Festival in April.

Burton's film is due March 2, and the soundtrack album, Almost Alice, will feature music from Plain White T's, Owl City, Wolfmother and the Cure's Robert Smith.

In the meantime, Franz Ferdinand will also hit the road in South America for a stretch of dates in March. The tour will kick off on the 12th at Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and wrap up on March 30 at the Estadio Monumental in Lima, Peru.
