Sempra Energy (SRE) and its subsidiaries announced Key organizational changes. All of the organizational changes are effective March 29, 2010. Debra Reed, 53, president and chief executive officer of Southern California Gas Co. or SoCalGas and San Diego Gas & Electric or SDG&E since 2006, will become an executive vice president at Sempra Energy. Reed joined SoCalGas in 1978 as an energy systems engineer.
Steven Davis, 54, vice president of communications and community partnerships for Sempra Energy since 2006, will become vice president of investor relations for Sempra Energy. From 2004 to 2006, Davis served as senior vice president of external relations and chief financial officer for SDG&E and SoCalGas.
Michael Allman, 49, president and chief executive officer of Sempra Generation since 2006, will become president and chief executive officer of SoCalGas. Anne Smith, 56, senior vice president of customer services for SoCalGas and SDG&E since 2006, will become chief operating officer of SoCalGas, reporting to Allman.
Jessie J. Knight, Jr., 59, executive vice president of external affairs for Sempra Energy, will become chief executive officer of SDG&E. Michael Niggli, 60, chief operating officer of SoCalGas and SDG&E since 2006, will become president and chief operating officer of SDG&E, reporting to Knight. Sempra Generation announced that Jeffrey W. Martin, 47, vice president of investor relations for Sempra Energy since 2006, will become president and chief executive officer of Sempra Generation.
