Thursday, Entergy Corp. (ETR) said it projects fourth-quarter as-reported earnings of around $1.63 per share and operational earnings of about $1.74 per share compared with as-reported results of $0.89 per share and operational results of $0.99 per share in fourth quarter 2008. On average, 10 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.39 per share for the quarter.
Entergy said it has reaffirmed its 2010 as-reported earnings per share guidance of $6.15 - $6.95 and $6.40 per share - $7.20 per share for operational earnings. Seventeen analysts estimate earnings of $6.69 per share for the year.
