Panera Bread Co. (PNRA) announced after the bell Wednesday that fourth quarter Company-owned comparable bakery-cafe sales increased 7.4% on a calendar basis. The company now expects to report fourth quarter EPS between $0.94 and $0.95, including $0.05 per diluted share of non recurring charges.Panera Bread gapped open sharply higher Thursday and climbed during the first half hour of trade. The stock was range-bound for the remainder of the session and finished up by $5.02 at $73.41 on above average volume. Panera broke out of a one-month range and set a new high for the year.
