"Kings and Queens," the lead single from 30 Seconds to Mars' This is War, is the number one track on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.
This Is War was released last month. It has made a steady climb to the top of the Alternative Songs chart since entering at the number three spot five weeks ago.
30 Seconds to Mars premiered the video for "Kings and Queens" at the Montalbán Theater in Los Angeles back in November. The video is directed by frontman Jared Leto under the pseudonym of Bartholomew Cubbins.
Jared Leto told MTV that the video is "basically a love letter [to] Los Angeles."
Other songs rounding out the Alternative Songs chart top five include Muse's "Uprising" at number two, Weezer's "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" at number three, Phoenix's "1901" at number four and "Savior" by Rise Against at number five.
