American Superconductor Corp. (AMSC) announced the receipt of an initial order for 100 sets of wind turbine core electrical components from China's XJ Group Corp.
American Superconductor specified that XJ is its third Windtec customer to enter volume production of advanced wind turbines in China.
The company noted that the components will be deployed in 2 megawatt doubly fed induction wind turbines that were co-developed with its subsidiary AMSC Windtec.
