Miley Cyrus is currently in talks to star in the upcoming remake of LOL: Laughing Out Loud. According to Variety, the Hannah Montana star would play the role of a 15-year-old girl who, after being dumped by her boyfriend, decides to go out with his best friend as a revenge.
Demi Moore is also reportedly in talks to take on the role of Cyrus's mother, a 40-year-old divorcée who is struggling to build a new life and to maintain a relationship with her daughter.
The original LOL, starring Sophie Marceau, debuted in theaters in 2008 and went on to gross over $20 million, according to Variety. Lisa Azuelos, who wrote and directed the original, will also write and direct the English remake.
LOL would add to the growing list of Cyrus' screen credits. She will also appear in the recently wrapped film The Last Song.
