Noel Gallagher has confirmed his first dates as a solo artist since his split from Oasis last August. The guitarist will headline performances for Britain's Teenage Cancer Trust series at the Royal Albert Hall in London March 25 and 26.

The series takes place throughout February and March and will also feature performances by the Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Them Crooked Vultures and Who frontman Roger Daltrey.

Meanwhile, Noel's brother and former Oasis bandmate Liam Gallagher has confirmed that the rest of the group will head into the studio and begin work on a new album this spring.

"We're going in [the studio] in April with a producer, we're going to do three songs with him and if he doesn't balls it up and we don't balls it up then we'll go in and do the whole album with him," the singer said in a radio interview. "A lot of these songs I wrote before the band [Oasis] split up. I mean, there's a few new ones on there that are coming out now."
