Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker lent a hand in recording an all-star cover of Led Zeppelin's 1971 classic song "Stairway to Heaven." Barker joined R&B singer Mary J. Blige, Michael Jackson's touring guitarist Orianthi, guitarist Steve Vai, and American Idol judge Randy Jackson on bass.
The group cut a cover of the legendary rock song in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Barker told the Los Angeles Times that he particularly liked Blige's take on the song. "She feels a stairway to heaven is how women might buy a bunch of things to make them feel like they are in heaven or in peace with all these materialistic things -- and then going back and looking at the words, I think she nailed it."
The all-star cover of "Stairway to Heaven" will appear as one of the bonus tracks on the overseas release of Blige's latest album, Stronger With Each Tear.
