Cameron Q4 Profit Declines; Provides Q1, FY10 EPS View - Quick Facts 2

Tuesday, Cameron International Corp. (CAM) reported fourth-quarter net income of $97.3 million or $0.41 per share, compared to net income of $146.0 million or $0.66 per share in the same quarter last year.

Excluding items, earnings for the quarter were $0.54 per share, compared to $0.74 per share in the prior year quarter.

On average, 24 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.53 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the quarter declined to $1.46 billion from $1.52 billion in the comparable quarter last year. Analysts expected the company to report revenue of $1.29 billion for the quarter.

Looking ahead to the first quarter, the company expects earnings in the range of $0.48 - $0.50 per share. Analysts currently anticipate the company to earn $0.51 per share for the quarter.

For the full year 2010, the company expects earnings in the range of $2.10 - $2.20 per share, excluding the impact on any charges related to restructuring or integration activities. Analysts currently anticipate the company to earn $2.18 per share for the full year.
