David Bowie is among the artists to be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming film, The Runaways, which tells the story of the Joan Jett-led 1970s punk band.
The Sex Pistols, the Stooges and MC5 appear on the album as well, along with some songs from the Runaways and Jett.
Bowie's contribution is the tune "Rebel Rebel," from his 1974 Diamond Dogs album. The song only reached number 64 on the Billboard 100, but is considered to be one of Bowie's most widely-covered songs.
The Runaways stars Twilight's Kristen Stewart as Jett and Dakota Fanning as frontwoman Cherie Currie. The soundtrack features the actresses as well. The two pair up for "Queens of Noise" and "Dead End Justice."
Fanning also performs "Cherry Bomb" and "California Paradise" solo.
