Tata Housing Development Company inked on Thursday two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the Assam government to develop commercial and residential projects in that State, report media.
The company signed a memorandum of understanding with the State's Industries and Commerce Department for development of commercial space including business parks and IT buildings.
The second MoU is with Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority for development of township and other infrastructure projects under public-private partnership mode.
Company Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Brotin Banerjee said the State had been developing in the past few years and had huge opportunities for increased economic development.
The MoUs were inked in the presence of Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata.
