The opening of "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" has been pushed back from April 23 to September 24. The Oliver Stone film has reportedly been delayed by 20th Century Fox in order to avoid the crowded summer box office months.
The sequel to the 1987 classic is set in 2008 and follows Gordon Gekko, played by Michael Douglas, as he is released from prison. The film's story and screenplay are written by Bryan Burrough, Allan Loeb and Stephen Schiff. Along with Douglas, the film also stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin, and Carey Mulligan.
In other Fox movie news, the studio also announced that the production for "Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D" has started and release date for the film is set for December 16, 2011.
